Circuit City in High Point, North Carolina

This Circuit City at 1030 Mall Loop in High Point, North Carolina opened in 1996. This store was vacated in 2008 and was purchased by High Point University in early 2011 along with the nearby Oak Hollow Mall. The Circuit City sits on a 4 acre plot of land (likely the main reason High Point University bought the store). It is not very clear what the University wants to do with this store and the Mall at this Point. It is very well expected that this Mall is going to die soon and the final nail in the coffin may just be by the University that bought it. Since Sears closed in 2012 only Belk and a Dillard's Clearance Center remain as anchors as of early 2012. If you are interested in reading more about the Oak Hollow Mall there is a post on Sky City about it.
