  1. Look at all the cars why could,nt Kmart make it here?To beautiful locations my guess is there was,nt even a Walmart in the area.Kmart just packed up and left.

  2. I found that there was a planned Super Kmart at 3250 Berlin Turnpike, Newington, CT. There was a great deal of opposition to the store and plans were cancelled in 1994. Lowe's is now at the site.

  3. Did both of those Walmart's either renovate the former Kmart buildings or did they demolish them and rebuilt them from scratch?

    1. Never mind! It looks like both of those former Super Kmart's were only remodeled into Walmart's and were not demoed and rebuilt from scratch. Upon looking at those Walmart entrances, they look very Kmart like.

      I am surprised that no Super Kmart's were built or planed on being built in Massachusetts to my knowledge.

      By the way, when did those Walmart's open? It had to be between 2003 and 2008.
